Industrial Style Bachelor Bedroom
The rugged nature and look of Industrial Style Design is so stylish in many ways and one of my favorite designs to simulate. The cool use of raw materials and unfinished decor pieces can be quite creative and very personalized, in that there are no two designs that look exactly alike as you are using old, vintage and repurposed pieces. Pieces that you might have found in a garage or estate sale, an old stove, a rusty piece of farming machinery, vintage signs and tools, anything that is unfinished, a nostalgic story to it, and in some way connects you with the simplest way of life.
Industrial design is just that, using raw and exposed elements as in brick or wood paneling for the walls, keeping the ceilings uncovered and exposed so you see all the workings of the electrical conduits and HVAC duct system. Repurposed and weathered finishes for furniture, mixed metal elements for lighting fixtures and then marrying them together with organic textures, warm and inviting upholstery and wool area rugs to take away from the cold and stark feeling you might associate with an Industrial designed space.
This Industrial Designed bedroom space encompasses all that one would expect to see in a modern, simplistic and raw space. Nothing too fussy or over done, simple, sleek but stylish and comfortable.
If Industrial Design is something you are considering for your home, I hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration, and if you are interested in where to purchase some of these great options to re-create the look in your own home, the links are available below. Happy Designing!
