When creating a country style bedroom look to combine a mix of rich woods with a palette of soft neutral colors. Cozy yet luxurious bedding, feather duvets, blankets or throws. Accent with patterned decorative pillows in floral or lace inspired fabrics. The idea is to keep the room feeling light and serene with an etherial feeling that is delightful and charming.
This design was inspired by this beautiful artwork by Justyna Kopania - “River” . An absolutely stunning work or art with colors that are so captivating and pleasing to the eye, it made for a gorgeous piece to sit above an ornate fire place as the focal point of the room.
COVID 19 has for sure changed how we live, work and prosper…. Many of us have become inventive as to how to survive under the new stay at home regulations and rules. Everything is about keeping us safe and healthy, keeping our distance from others and being scrupulously aware of our surroundings and not touching areas that have come in contact with many hands.
So the inspiration behind this design was this magnificent painting by European Artist Isabellemenin. Can we not agree that the colors in this painting are quite spectacular! This to me is not your “every day artwork” but truly a one of a kind masterpiece.
Traditional design is by far one of my most favorite of all design styles. This design style always seemed so upper crust with its classic and refined furniture in highly polished wood tones, bold color palettes, and patterned fabrics, making for some very warm and inviting interiors.

Modern Mid-Century Industrial Design is in such demand in this day and age, this design style is so modern and hip its no wonder. When you think of Industrial design a worn abandoned loft space or derelict city building might come to mind. With features like their high ceilings with exposed rafters and air conditioning ducts, raw brick walls and reclaimed wood floors, its the consummate backdrop canvas upon which to build the perfect industrial inspired design.
E-Design has become extremely popular these days, and then again it is still a relatively unknown option when you are considering redecorating your home. Let’s face it, when you are thinking about decorating, yes, you surf through the usual websites like Google and Pinterest to get some inspiration and design style ideas, then peruse the dozens of furniture stores to try to replicate, but do you really consider designing online?
Although my niche design style is more of a classic, refined and sophisticated nature, I do like to dabble in mid-century modern and Industrial styled designs. They couldn’t be more different, but there is an element to this design that I find so appealing. I love the simple polished look of Classic design, nothing is too fancy or decorative, just simple clean lines and calming touches, much like you might see in some mid-century or minimalist designs.
There is such a demand for home office design in that many are choosing and/or required to work from home at the moment during this extremely unprecedented time! Being that an office is extremely personalized to the needs of the individual user or to that of the business itself, it requires you to spend some considerable time working in it. So with that said, try to make it inviting, pleasing to the eye and comfortable. Consider creating a space that you truly enjoy going to every day, rather than a lonely sterile cubicle space!
I don’t know about you, but just the views from a panoramic Penthouse Living Room suite amaze me, forget the design I could look out into the abyss of this view for days! These spaces are so high up you literally feel like you are coming into land at LAX, its almost surreal to think you can live up at these heights, certainly not for the faint of hearted by any means!
The key to minimalist decor is to keep the design simple and the color palette neutral and light. This design style is considered by those who are looking to live life simply but comfortably with less clutter and minimal possessions. So if you like a design that is bright and sparsely decorated with maybe a hint of an accent color for warmth, then this design style is right up your alley!
The rugged nature and look of Industrial Style Design is so stylish in many ways and one of my favorite designs to simulate. The cool use of raw materials and unfinished decor pieces can be quite creative and very personalized, in that there are no two designs that look exactly alike as you are using old, vintage and repurposed pieces. Pieces that you might have found in a garage or estate sale, an old stove, a rusty piece of farming machinery, vintage signs and tools, anything that is unfinished and connects you in a way with past events.

This is by far one of the most requested designs living in California other than California Casual if you happen to live a little inland or you are not entirely sold on tropical palm designs, rattan and sisal accents. Each to their own:-) However, summer is upon us as we gear up for sunny skies, warm temps, trips to the beach and umbrella cocktail drinks!
Using lots of bold color, metallic finishes and pretty things is key to creating the ultimate glam, sophisticated bedroom space. Having an inspiration piece to build the design around helps, take this absolutely gorgeous vintage meticulously woven colored area rug. The pink is so vibrant it was sure to infuse some color into the space with the dark color palette choice.
