Why is Mid-Century Modern and Modern Design so desired these days?

Why is Mid-Century Modern and Modern Design so desired these days? It was a design style back in the 1950’s and 60”s associated with some of the famous works by Arne Jacobsen - “the Egg Chair”, Charles & Ray Eames - the iconic "Eames Lounge Chair” and architect pioneers like Ludwig Mies van Der Rohe and most familiar Frank Lloyd Wright to name but a few. It was a time when furniture and architecture was characterized by clean lines, organic and streamlined forms and simple embellishments, no fuss, functional, yet comfortable pieces, and some in quite extraordinary designs! Like fashion we have come full circle and Mid-Century Modern has gained a new lease on life and popularity. This design style is especially common for smaller homes and apartments, many pieces are of a smaller scale and size and therefore don’t over power a space. Mid-Century Modern design is about creating a design where “Less is More”, "Traditional Color Schemes”, “Patterns & Textures” and accessorizing with vintage accessories. This design style is becoming more popular than ever and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon:).
